Rams Reveal 2023 Jersey Schedule

2023-09-07
The Los Angeles Rams tossed uniform aficionados a bone ahead of Sunday's season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.
On Wednesday, the Rams officially unveiled what jerseys they will be wearing for each game this season. They did not reveal what pants they would pair with the jerseys, though, leaving a slight bit of mystery.
As was the case last year, the Rams will wear their white "Modern Throwback" jerseys more than any other with eight games designated for it, including Sunday's season opener. These jerseys debuted as an alternate in 2021, but became so popular that L.A. wore them in Super Bowl LVI and it became the official road jersey in 2022. The Rams will hope for better fortunes in these jerseys this season, as they went an abysmal 0-8 while wearing them last year.
Following close behind are the Rams' royal blue jerseys, which will be worn seven times this season. Six of those games are at home, with the lone exception being L.A.'s Week 3 road game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Rams also wore these jerseys seven times last year, going 3-4 in said games.
Last but definitely least are the Rams' "Bone" jerseys, which they will only wear in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts and Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals, both road games. These jerseys were initially L.A.'s away jerseys when they debuted in 2020, but were pretty unpopular among fans and were demoted to alternates just two years later. The Rams also wore them twice last year, but won those two games against the Atlanta Falcons and Cardinals.
The Rams' current uniform set has been controversial among fans since its introduction in 2020. In fact, speculation over the team switching uniforms already has run rampant each offseason, although COO Kevin Demoff denied said rumors in July. Even with the design itself being unpopular, the fact that the Rams won a Super Bowl in these uniforms is likely to keep them around for at least a bit longer.
As the Rams open the season wearing their most widely-liked jersey, they'll hope that the old mantra of "look good, feel good, play good" holds true.
